Hilton Honors · Diamond guide
Hilton Diamond, easier to reach from 2026
In 2026, Hilton Honors lowered Diamond from 60 to 50 nights and Gold from 40 to 25 nights, and added a new top tier, Diamond Reserve ([80 nights or 40 stays] + $18,000 annual eligible spend).
In Korea, the Lotte Card Hilton Honors Amex Premium also offers a route to Diamond without hotel stays.
Resets 1 January
If you're short on time
The bottom line
- Diamond takes 50 nights, 25 stays or $11,500 of eligible Hilton spend in a year. You only need one of the three. Award stays paid with points count towards nights.
- Breakfast starts at Gold (eligible brands outside the US). Eligible brands in the US and Motto worldwide give a daily food and beverage credit instead. Diamond adds executive lounge access, upgrades up to a one-bedroom suite (subject to availability), a 48-hour room guarantee and a 100% points bonus.
- The Hilton Honors American Express Premium (Lotte Card, annual fee KRW 500,000) gives Gold within 6 weeks of issue. Spend KRW 24,000,000 in the first 12 months, including the month of issue, and Diamond arrives within 12 weeks. The standard card (KRW 250,000) gives Silver, then Gold at KRW 12,000,000.
- Free night vouchers come separately from Diamond. Spend KRW 24,000,000 (standard card: KRW 12,000,000) in the previous annual fee cycle and you get 2 vouchers (standard: 1) within 12 weeks of paying the next annual fee. So there are no regular vouchers in the first year after issue. They are for 1 night on a local Friday, Saturday or Sunday in a standard room for 2, the stay must be completed within 12 months of issue, and some hotels and residences are excluded.
- Status matching is available only to Hilton base and Silver members, once per lifetime. Approval grants Gold for 90 days; 12 nights within that period earns Diamond (through March 31, 2028, under the 2026 offer).
- You cannot apply if Gold from the Lotte Premium card has already posted, so use the match before the card if you intend to use both.
- Diamond Reserve takes [80 nights or 40 stays] + $18,000 spend. You must meet one stay requirement and the spend requirement together. The key benefits are a Confirmable Upgrade Reward (1 on qualifying) and guaranteed 4pm checkout.
- Rollover has ended. Rollover nights earned from 2025 activity count towards 2026 status, but excess nights earned in 2026 do not carry over to 2027.
1 · Tier structure
Five tiers, changed from 2026
Nights, stays and spend reset to zero on 1 January. Status earned in 2026 is kept until the end of 2027, or 31 March 2028 including the grace period.
Tier ladder
Annual requirements and what each tier unlocks
The dollar spending requirement means eligible hotel charges (room and incidental charges) at Hilton. Lifetime Diamond requires ten years of Diamond status (not necessarily consecutive) and [1,000 lifetime nights, including award nights, or $200,000 of eligible spend].
Ordinary purchases on a Lotte card do not count as Hilton eligible spend. Eligible Hilton hotel charges paid with the card may count toward both Hilton eligible spend and card spending requirements under their respective rules. See chapter 3 for card status benefits.

Breakfast · Lounge
What to expect at hotels in Korea and Asia
Breakfast from Gold
Gold and above get continental breakfast for the member and 1 registered guest in the same room at eligible brands outside the US. Eligible brands in the US and Motto worldwide use a food and beverage credit instead. Many hotels in Asia serve the restaurant buffet, but that is hotel practice, not an officially guaranteed benefit.
Executive lounge
Available at hotels with a lounge. Lounge breakfast and happy hour offerings vary by hotel. Many hotels have no lounge.
Premium Club
A new Premium Club access benefit for Reserve. Few lounges are eligible so far.
Brand and hotel exceptions
Brands that already include breakfast, such as Hampton and Homewood, have no separate tier breakfast. Breakfast or food and beverage credit is set per brand (MyWay), so check the hotel's benefit information before booking.
Book through official channels
Nights and tier benefits apply only when you book through the Hilton app or website, or directly with the hotel. OTA bookings such as Agoda or Booking.com are usually excluded.

Premium maths
What you get from spending KRW 24,000,000 a year
Points earned on KRW 24,000,000 spend
All domestic spend (2pt per KRW 1,500)
Half domestic + half overseas/Hilton spend
All overseas/Hilton spend (8pt per KRW 1,500)
This example simply applies the base earn rate to eligible spend. It does not reflect per-transaction calculation, excluded items (such as interest-free instalments) or foreign transaction fees.
- What you get: Diamond status + the points above. The 2 vouchers arrive after you pay the next annual fee (KRW 500,000). Look at the first-year value and the value of keeping the card for several years separately.
- If you use each of the 2 vouchers on a stay worth KRW 250,000 or more, their combined nominal value exceeds the KRW 500,000 annual fee. But the real value depends on whether you would have booked the stay anyway, what other card benefits you give up, and whether you can use both vouchers.
- The more of the KRW 24,000,000 you spend domestically, the closer the points earned fall to an ordinary card's level. It is weak for everyday domestic spending.
- If you don't reach the Diamond spend, judge the annual fee's value mainly on Gold benefits (breakfast at eligible brands outside the US), points and lounge access.
4 · Routes to Diamond
Common routes to status
Route
How will you get Diamond?
Status Match → challenge
Hilton base and Silver members, once in a lifetime. Apply with another hotel tier and proof of stays in the last 24 months → 90 days of Gold. Within those 90 days, 6 nights earns Gold and 12 nights earns Diamond. Award stays and stays before approval don't count.
Lotte Premium card
Diamond from card spend alone, no stays needed. Annual fee KRW 500,000. The 2 vouchers come after you pay the next annual fee. You must meet the spend again every year.
Many short stays
25 one-night stays earn Diamond without reaching 50 nights. Consecutive nights at the same hotel count as 1 stay even if you check out and check in again.
The standard way: stays
Award stays count too. If you travel a lot for work or leisure, you also collect milestone points (card 5).
You can also reach Diamond with $11,500 of eligible spend at Hilton hotels (card 1). The 31 March 2028 expiry for status earned through a match is based on the 2026 offer terms; follow the date in your approval notice. Business (B2B) matches have different terms.

5 · Milestone rewards
A bonus every 10 nights from 40 nights
Milestones
What you get as nights add up
Annual maximum: 210,000pt if you choose points at 120 nights, or 180,000pt + 1 reward if you choose the upgrade reward. Milestones are for Gold members and above, and rollover nights do not count towards milestones.

6 · Common mistakes
Easy to miss
Checklist
Check before booking or applying
Status from a card is not nights
Getting Diamond through a card does not create nights or eligible hotel spend. So milestone points come only from actual nights stayed. “Years of status” for Lifetime Diamond is separate from the stay and spend requirements, so confirm your accumulated years with Hilton. If you cancel the card, status earned through it is cancelled.
Vouchers are weekend-only
1 night on a local Friday, Saturday or Sunday, standard room for 2 only. The stay must be completed within 12 months of issue, or the voucher is lost. Some hotels and residences are excluded, and a standard room for voucher use must be available to book. They are best used in cities with expensive weekend rates.
OTA bookings get no nights or benefits
Third-party bookings such as Agoda, Booking.com and Trip.com usually earn no nights and get no breakfast or upgrades.
No rollover
Rollover nights earned from 2025 activity count towards 2026 status. However, excess nights earned in 2026 do not carry over to 2027.
Upgrades and 4pm checkout are not guaranteed (standard Diamond)
Even Diamond depends on available rooms. Guaranteed 4pm checkout is for Reserve only, and upgrades can be confirmed at booking only when you use a Confirmable Upgrade Reward.
Lotte Card items excluded from spend and earning
All interest-free instalments, national and local taxes, social insurance premiums, tuition and school fees, monthly rent, apartment maintenance fees, utilities such as electricity, gas and water, gift cards, prepaid cards and point top-ups, taxis, public transport, express buses and highway tolls, cash advances and card loans, annual fees and interest, and similar items are excluded from both qualifying spend and earning.
